What and when is Galentine's Day? It's a made-up holiday (well, as most holidays are) that is celebrated on February 13th, right before Valentine's day itself. Galentine's day is for celebrating your love for your lady friends, your women's power, and it doesn't matter if any of you is in a relationship or not. Galentine's day meaning is that it's a day dedicated to showering your gal pals with love and attention - even more than you do on a daily basis. It can also be a great way to unwind after all of that gift stress, ya know ;)
One of the cool things about Galentine's day is that it was invented by a fictional character! It was Leslie Knope of Parks and Rec, a legendary and beloved TV show. And since the idea was really cool, it spread in the air, just like love does. Another cool thing is that this day, unlike the next day, is very much single-people-friendly and doesn't brush the topic of having a romantic partner at all!
Are you going to celebrate Galentine's day with your friends this year? Then you can take a look at some of the ideas, Galentine's day decorations, and tips for an unforgettable party
. But is this holiday only for the ladies, you might ask? Nope, not at all. It's a celebration of friendship and love for people that are always beside you while romantic partners can come and go. So if you are up for showing your friends how much you care about them in a cheesy, but fun and heartwarming way - celebrate it no matter what your gender is! In fact, it doesn't matter what your friends' gender is either.
